Stay clean: Last year, the slim star told DailyMail.com that one of the ways to keep a flat stomach during the holidays is to skip “sugar substitutes”. That means saying no to diet sodas and processed candies that claim to be sugar-free
That means saying no to diet sodas and processed candies that claim to be sugar-free.
This came just as the blonde shared a new pic of herself in a yellow crop top that made the most of her tiny waist.
“I have some tips that can help alleviate that feeling and keep your bloated stomach at bay. Some are as simple as eating slower and avoiding sugar substitutes,” she said.
The star went into more detail on her blog web.deniseaustin.com. She said women should try over 50 different foods. Foods high in fiber are a must, she noted.
“In our 50s, staying regular can be a challenge, so in addition to high-fiber whole grains, be sure to include other high-fiber foods like beans and legumes, broccoli, berries, and avocados,” she wrote on her blog.
Simple plan: “I have some tips that can help alleviate that feeling and keep your bloated stomach at bay. Some are as simple as eating slower and avoiding sugar substitutes,” she said
She also recommends anti-inflammatory foods. “Help minimize inflammation by adding turmeric, salmon, olive oil, and even dark chocolate…these foods can also help promote heart health and a healthy weight when eaten in moderation!”
And her final tip is to eat plant-based protein. “At this point in your life, to keep your heart healthy, you should start replacing animal protein, like red meat, with plant-based protein. Consider a meatless bean chili, toss lentils in your salads, or fajitas with tofu instead of steak.
As for the food, she told DailyMail.com she watches what she eats but thinks it’s delicious. And their portions are just right to shed the pounds.

“I eat smaller portions,” Denise told DailyMail.com. “I might have salmon and vegetables for dinner. A snack is flaxseed with yogurt. I love avocados and eggs for breakfast.
“I cook really healthy food for my family. Lots of salads, chicken tacos, vegetable lasagna, casseroles with less cheese.”
But she’s not always cautious: “I eat well 80 percent of the time and I’m bad the other 20 percent.”
It refers to the popular 80/20 diet method that allows for cheat days. Some of the things she likes to cheat with: carbs and sugar.
And she also talked about the training.
The exercise proponents’ answer to battling the bulge is to take baby steps.
Still a stunner: And her final tip is to eat plant-based protein. “At this point in your life, to keep your heart healthy, you should start replacing animal protein, like red meat, with plant-based protein. “I’ve been doing this for 40 years and I’m not a fitness freak,” she clarifies in an interview. “But I’m consistent.”
That means exercising in some form every day.
“If you can work out 10 minutes straight and you do it 3 times a day, you’ve worked out 30 minutes in one day,” the star noted.
And she added that it’s important to keep moving throughout the day: “It’s all about circulation and movement. I even get up and walk in place when I’m watching TV just to keep the flow going.”
Sounds like smart math and an easy way to jump into your workout.
“The consistency pays off,” adds the likeable pinup, who is very active on Instagram.
