ColourPop Love’s First Kiss Snow White Lip Trio ($20.00 for 0.27 oz) is a limited edition lip kit that includes a lipstick, lip liner and lip gloss in shades of red. All three products met my expectations for these formulas and went well together.
snow white is a rich ruby red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish.

The formula, which is said to be “creamy-matte, glides on like butter, doesn’t feather or bleed, and lasts so long you’ll forget you’re even wearing it.” The majority of the shades were fairly pigmented with full color payoff in a single stroke, a few in the more semi opaque coverage area.
The texture was smooth on average, slightly creamy and not too thick or thin so there was no pulling when applied, but the color did not feel slippery when worn, making it easy to apply directly from the tube and deep-care on the lips.
They tend to dry and wear down to a soft, matte finish within one to three hours of wear, and while they’re very easy to apply, they’re more huggable to the lips as they get matte (compared to the initial one). Feeling). Wear time was between four and six hours for most shades, and most shades did not dry to slightly moisturizing. They smelled of vanilla but had no discernible taste.

formula overview

The formula is said to “shine” with a “cushion-soft” texture that “hydrates the lips.” The brand isn’t clear on how pigmented or how transparent the formula is supposed to be; Instead, they have the “perfect amount of color in one”. Based on what I can infer from promotional imagery, their marketing, and typical lip gloss claims (in the industry), Gloss is usually more translucent than opaque, so I’ll rate medium coverage expectation based on that.
The formula has a smooth consistency that was more like a gel-cream in that it felt denser (“soft”) without being heavy or sticky. However, I didn’t feel they were the most forgiving as most of the shades blended into my lip lines to a small degree. The coverage was translucent to semi-translucent which resulted in shades looking more similar than in the tubes (so the original lineup could have been much more diverse). They lasted between two and three hours and were moisturizing to wear.
There was no discernible taste and they had a sweet, sugary smell.
