The formula is said to last “16 hours” and has a “matte” finish that’s not “flat” and leaves the lips “comfortable”. The lipstick was very pigmented and while the texture provided a matte finish, it felt smooth, velvety and applied easily as the lipstick glided across my lips without tugging at all.

However, I was impressed by how even and indulgent the finish was, as high-silicone matte lipsticks can often cause pilling or accentuate lip texture (dimethicone is the first ingredient in this formula). It was fairly resistant to transmission, but broke down more easily once a meal was eaten, so it tended to last as long as the time between use and the next meal.

So the only downside was that realistically it wasn’t a product that lasted 16 hours, which I think needs to last at least one meal long enough to last until the next meal. . at least.

There was a sweet, slightly powdery floral scent but no discernible taste. I felt the scent was more subdued than L’Oreal’s scent usually is.
