It’s the mindset that counts: The ‘Love Island’ star explained her weight loss was a change in her mind
The reality star proudly showed off her toned figure in an Instagram snap in April – as she reflected on how her “inner strength” in overcoming a 15-year-old eating disorder showed on the outside.
Still, the “Love Island” star has been criticized for how quickly she’s lost weight. Some accused her of making a few “fixes” to speed up the process
But Malin took to Instagram earlier last month to continue to debunk rumors that she’d lost weight quickly, as she insisted quick fixes don’t work.
The ‘Love Island’ star, who has now campaigned for mental health, admitted we all want quick fixes, but for her the most important thing is to make time for everything.
She confessed that the change in her body was actually just a transformation in her mind.
She said, “It’s all related to your mind, body and soul, and one you can work on, but the other two are still not fixed.”
“It’s not that I woke up and was like, ‘I’m going to the gym,’ but I wanted to go for a walk first and actually move my body to feel better.”
“I was just about feeling different mentally, so this was just a symptom of a shift in mindset and a desire to stop feeling sluggish or down,” the star continued.
Malin says she often gets messages asking, “How do you do this in this time frame?” or “How long did it take you?” But the mother-of-one explained that her trip followed the birth of her daughter Xaya a year and a half ago started.
“Nothing comes fast in life, and when it is, it means you didn’t do it right,” she said.
Focusing on the topic of mental health, the author of Positivity Is Our Superpower said that when she experiences a mental health trigger, she no longer blocks her emotions.
‘I literally listen to them, feel the emotion and do something about it.

Whether it’s meditating on it, journaling on it, talking to someone about it and understanding why I feel this way.”
Malin also spoke to her fans about the importance of self-affirmation and changing your attitude because you want it, not for someone else or an ex.
Malin ended her motivational speech by assuring her followers: “Everything is a journey, take your time for everything, accept what is going on because you will miss it.”
Enjoy the process and understand that change takes patience and listening to your body, listening to yourself and nurturing your soul with what is good for you.”
